Meet Sam Case
Sam Case grew up in the small town of Purcellville,Virginia. Most of the
Case family was in the lumber or woodworking business. His parents were
an exception to this as his father owned a Buick dealership and his mother
was a lawyer.
After earning a degree in graphic design, Sam worked as magazine
photographer and as a carpenter. He started a carpentry contracting
business specializing in historic restorations and built-in cabinets. The
business grew and eventually included building houses and developing
residential subdivisions.
Seeking to use his design talents more, he started designing and building
furniture. Samuel S. Case Cabinetmakers opened for business in 1989.
Within two years the carpentry business was phased out. A new larger
shop was built in 1994. In 2000 another larger building was purchased in
Berryville, Virginia where the business now operates a 43,000 square foot
factory.
Sam lives in a mountain home with Terry his wife of 30 years. Their two
sons are in College and High School and work part time in the family
business.
Sam spends his spare time playing guitar and banjo and volunteering as a
Scoutmaster and youth baseball coach.
